Cheltenham is 9-0 against the Hatters since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Cheltenham Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Hatboro-Horsham Hatters at 7:00 p.m. Cheltenham is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
Last Friday, Cheltenham earned a 55-48 victory over the Bears. Given Cheltenham's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Bears are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Hatboro-Horsham came into Friday's game having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 58-46 victory over Quakertown on Friday.
Ryan Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Shane Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Cheltenham pushed their record up to 15-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Hatboro-Horsham, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16.
Cheltenham was able to grind out a solid win over the Hatters in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 60-47. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Hatboro-Horsham's Noah Schlosser, who scored 22 points. Now that he won't be playing on Monday, will it be that much easier for Cheltenham to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
