West has gone a perfect 3-0 against Pleasant Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. West will challenge Pleasant Grove at 3:30 p.m. West has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with nine straight losses, while Pleasant Grove will come in with seven straight wins.

West came up short against Olympus on Tuesday, falling 17-2.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 17-10 margin over Davis. Considering the Vikings have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Maile Larsen and Maya Parry did most of the damage at the plate: Larsen fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Parry went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Larsen has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Allyson Young, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Pleasant Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Pleasant Grove's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

West skirted past Pleasant Grove 13-11 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for West since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
