The World of Inquiry Griffins can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 73-70 victory over Wilson Magnet. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Diego Martinez was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaedon Adams, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
World of Inquiry's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Wilson Magnet, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13.
World of Inquiry will face off against the Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Early College has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wilson Magnet, they will be playing at home against the Inventors at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
