After a dominant victory in their match two weeks ago, First Baptist Christian Academy were humbled on Friday. First Baptist Christian Academy didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 13-18 to Harvest Community. That makes it the first time this season First Baptist Christian Academy have let down their home crowd.
Senior Kennedy Neikirk was the offensive standout of the match for Harvest Community, as he rushed for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with nine tackles Neikirk was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse sophomore Daniel Cary, who racked up 12 tackles.
First Baptist Christian Academy's defeat pushes them down to 5-3. The win makes it two in a row for Harvest Community and bumps their record up to 4-2.
Next week First Baptist Christian Academy will take on Duval Charter at 4:30 PM. Duval Charter are cruising in on a four-game winning streak. As for Harvest Community, they will go up against Master's Academy. These teams both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.
