It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Jones County Coyotes ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 82-79 victory over Stanley County. Jones County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Cooper Feddersen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 43 points and 18 rebounds. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Kaden Kinsley was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The victory (which was Jones County's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Stanley County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Jones County will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Burke at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Burke comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Stanley County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Herreid/Selby at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th. Herreid/Selby is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
