The Snow Hill Eagles lost against the Wicomico Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Snow Hill was dealt a 60-20 defeat at the hands of Wicomico. Snow Hill was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.
Wicomico's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabrielle Corbin, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Corbin scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Se'Lah Foreman, who scored 16 points along with eight steals and five assists.
Snow Hill's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wicomico, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Snow Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arcadia at 10:00 a.m. on December 29th. As for Wicomico, they will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
