The Antwerp Archers won the last time they faced the Hicksville Aces, and things went their way on Thursday too. Antwerp was the clear victor by a 57-31 margin over Hicksville. Antwerp pushed the score to 44-24 by the end of the third, a deficit Hicksville had little chance of recovering from.
Hicksville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kennedy Adams, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Steury, who scored five points.
The victory made it two in a row for Antwerp and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for Hicksville, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antwerp will take on Hilltop at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hicksville, they will head out on the road to take on Edon at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Hicksville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
