After only two runs in their last matchup, Providence made sure to put some runs up on the board against East Mecklenburg on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Eagles 16-5. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 13 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Providence's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-5. As for East Mecklenburg, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Providence will challenge Cox Mill at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Mecklenburg will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' contest: after the Panthers face off against the Chargers, they'll take on East Mecklenburg again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
