1A-2 Region II District 8 recap October 8, 2013
Perrin-Whitt scaled the state rankings by moving to 977 from 1,042 this week, the biggest jump in 1A-2 Region II District 8. The Pirates climbed the ranks as a result of beating Frost 20-16.
Petrolia fell to Santo 55-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Munday's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Moguls feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alfonso Nunez has thrown for 215 yards this season, while Temerick Reagins has 9 catches for 145 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Electra takes on Muenster. The Tigers are currently in third, while the Hornets are in first.
Perrin-Whitt made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,214 from 12,294. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 20-16 victory over the Bears last week.
