The Decatur Community Red Devils lost against the Trego Golden Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Decatur Community fell 57-44 to Trego. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Decatur Community in their matchups with Trego: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Decatur Community had strong showings from Tyler Ostmeyer, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four blocks, and Davin Jensen, who scored ten points along with five steals. Jensen is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Decatur Community bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Trego, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Decatur Community will be home for the holidays to greet Oakley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakley is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Trego will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hill City on January 5, 2024.
