There's no place like home for the Roseville Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 68-67 victory over West Park. The win was just what Roseville needed coming off of a 101-32 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roseville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Newton, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Newton scored 15 or more points. Oreste Yong was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Roseville's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for West Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Roseville will be playing in front of their home fans against River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakmont knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully West Park likes a good challenge.
