Basketball Recap: Franklin Learning Center Piles Up the Points Against Elverson Military Academy

While Franklin Learning Center didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Elverson Military Academy 60-26. With the Bobcats ahead 38-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Franklin Learning Center had a senior duo take command as Jimmie Greeno went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points along with six assists and three blocks and Gary Bailey dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 assists. With that strong performance, Greeno is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Crawford, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points.

Franklin Learning Center's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Learning Center will take on Masterman in a holiday battle at 3:15 p.m. on Monday at. As for Elverson Military Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Parkway Northwest at 3:15 p.m. on December 19th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Parkway Northwest has four straight wins, Elverson Military Academy has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
