Torin Wolf Delivers Best Performance of Season
Torin Wolf produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Minarets to the win on Friday. Wolf threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Minarets): his a 47-yard strike wound up winning them the game.
Wolf and Minarets will host Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Wolf took on the Hawks, he threw for 171 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Stephenson Posts Huge Game in 44-12 Victory
Chowchilla picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Davian Stephenson. Riverdale had no answer to Stephenson as he rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 28 yards and a touchdown. Stephenson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making five total tackles, and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Chowchilla pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Stephenson's next matchup is against Fowler on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Jabari Gomez and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Minarets picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jabari Gomez. Caruthers had no answer to Gomez as he picked up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown. Gomez also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Minarets): his a 47-yard strike wound up winning them the game.
On the season, Gomez has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 53.2 receiving yards per game.

While Talan Lamattina delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Liberty. Lamattina was dynamite, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Lamattina is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Minarets on Friday. Lamattina rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October of 2023.

Travis Selby Dazzles in Chowchilla Victory
Travis Selby posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Selby might have his next game, a home matchup with Fowler, circled on his calendar. When Selby last faced the Redcats back in October of 2023, he rushed for 112 yards on only 14 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.
