East Bernard is 10-0 against Hempstead since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The East Bernard Brahmas will be playing at home against the Hempstead Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, East Bernard earned a 58-45 win over Danbury.
Ashlynn Lemos continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with seven steals and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Malaya Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Hempstead had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 30-24 W over Brazos last Tuesday. The victory was just what Hempstead needed coming off of a 62-27 loss in their prior contest.
East Bernard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Hempstead, their victory ended a 15-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-17.
Everything came up roses for East Bernard against Hempstead in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 61-32 win. Will East Bernard repeat their success, or does Hempstead have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
