CHASE had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 8-5 to make it six. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Burke Cavaliers. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in May of 2017.
As for East Burke, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
For East Burke's part, Hermione Garro was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave Garro a new career-high. Amanda McLean was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
