The Le Roy Oatkan Knights were the 76-48 winner over the Warsaw Tigers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Le Roy took a hard 67-49 fall against Warsaw on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Le Roy came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Warsaw is ranked 399th).
Despite the loss, Le Roy still got an impressive performance from Jean Agosto, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Merritt Holly Jr. was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Le Roy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Warsaw, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Le Roy will look to defend their home court on Friday against York at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Le Roy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Warsaw, they will head out on the road to face off against Albion at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
