The Milan Wildcats will square off against the Clark County Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Milan has not done well against Scotland County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Milan breezed by Scotland County on the road to the tune of 61-31. With Milan ahead 32-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Milan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marian Dabney led the charge by scoring 19 points along with 5 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Dabney has scored at least 25% of Milan's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Pauley, who scored 16 points along with 6 assists.
Meanwhile, Clark County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Tuesday. They took down Scotland County 47-30.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Milan's victory pushed their record up to 2-0, while Scotland County's defeat dropped theirs down to 0-2.
