Proctor proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Central Valley Academy Thunder. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Thunder recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Cullen Sheridan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. Sheridan was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, George Garrett was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two triples, and three RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high.
