Even though the Christ the King Gladiators have not done well against the Morgan Park Academy Warriors recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Christ the King simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Morgan Park Academy 69-39 on the road. The win was just business as usual for Christ the King, who after four games remain undefeated this season.
Despite the loss, Morgan Park Academy saw an underclassman step up: Tiara Williams scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. The game was Williams' fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Christ the King's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Morgan Park Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Christ the King will head out on the road to face off against Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morgan Park Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Beacon Academy at 5:00 p.m.
