David Burgess Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, David Burgess posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Dougherty over Cairo on Friday. Burgess threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 58 yards.

Bryian Duncan Jr's big game helped extend Cairo's winning streak to six on Friday. Duncan Jr turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 169 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.
Duncan Jr and Cairo are taking a road trip to take on Peach County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The match will pit Duncan Jr up against the Trojans' star WR Cam Cherry. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles from Amarion Donaldson
Bainbridge came up short on Friday despite Amarion Donaldson delivering his best game to date. Donaldson wasn't messing around, picking up three sacks and making ten total tackles (4.0 for loss). The contest was his fifth straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.

This year, Smith has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 49.8 receiving yards per game.
