Brush's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Edgar Ortiz, who scored 13 points, and Thatcher Queen who scored six points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Queen has scored all season.
Jonathan Thomson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Y, scoring 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The game was Thomson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Cristian Duarte was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Brush's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Y, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brush will be home for the holidays to greet Fort Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Morgan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Y will be home for the holidays to greet Rangely at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rangely focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
