Even though the Eagle's View Warriors have not done well against the Christ's Church Academy Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Eagle's View claimed a resounding 76-47 victory over Christ's Church Academy at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-18.
Eagle's View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marcus Carter, who scored 20 points along with four steals. The game was Carter's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Kenneth Berry was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Christ's Church Academy still got an impressive performance from Jackson Hadden, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for Hadden. Another player making a difference was Austin Dorsey, who scored eight points.
Christ's Church Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Eagle's View pulled down 18 offensive rebounds.
Eagle's View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Christ's Church Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Eagle's View will head out on the road to face off against Covenant School of Jacksonville at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Johns Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
