Rowe-Clark hasn't had much luck against Butler recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rowe-Clark Masai Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Butler Lynx at 5:30 p.m. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jasean Knox and Danny Bennett.
Rowe-Clark is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Hansberry.

Despite their loss, Rowe-Clark saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Marcus Fossett, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Fossett is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Knox, who posted 14 points.
Meanwhile, Butler had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 68-34 win over the Bulls. The Lynx have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.
Butler's win came from a few key players Rowe-Clark will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Julius Hamlin Jr, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamal Small, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight steals and six boards.
Butler smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.
Butler's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Rowe-Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rowe-Clark has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Butler struggles in that department as they've been averaging 51.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Rowe-Clark might still be hurting after the 56-30 loss they got from Butler in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Rowe-Clark avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
