South Caldwell has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Freedom Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, South Caldwell ended up a good deal behind Watauga and lost 60-46. South Caldwell has struggled against Watauga recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Lillie Bumgarner put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 19 points. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Edwards, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Freedom entered their tilt with Concord Academy with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Freedom walked away with a 48-35 win over Concord Academy back in December of 2023.
South Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Freedom, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
South Caldwell came up short against Freedom when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 45-32. Can South Caldwell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
