Arthur-Okaw Christian found their leader in freshman Avery Herschberger, who went 8 for 16 on her way to 20 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. Herschberger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabelle Haskins, who posted eight points and three steals.
Armstrong has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Armstrong will venture away from home to face off against Salt Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salt Fork will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Armstrong surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-47 victory against St. Thomas More on the 11th.
