The Westlake Thunder will head out on the road to square off against the Skyridge Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
Last Friday, Westlake faced Lone Peak in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Westlake received a tough blow as they fell 54-36 to Lone Peak. Westlake found out winning isn't easy when your three-point shooting is a whole 27% worse than the opposition.
Westlake's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jada Willis, who scored 15 points, and Austyn Feller who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Skyridge's five-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Pleasant Grove by a score of 55-45.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Westlake have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Skyridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.7 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Westlake strolled past Skyridge in their previous matchup on January 12th by a score of 50-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westlake since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
