Nemaha Central had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Valley Heights Mustangs on Tuesday as the Nemaha Central Thunder made off with a 53-33 victory. The Thunder's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nemaha Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Valley Heights, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nemaha Central will head out to square off against Jefferson West on Friday. Nemaha Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Valley Heights and Centralia will compete for holiday cheer on Friday. Centralia will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Valley Heights surely won't give up without a fight.
