Saline is a perfect 5-0 against Tecumseh since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Hornets will face off against the Indians at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Monday, Saline made easy work of Skyline and carried off a 16-1 victory. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Jessi Phelps was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Saline got a massive performance out of Ashley Malinczak, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Malinczak has posted since back in April. Emma Wiedmayer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double.
Saline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyline only posted an OBP of .462.
Meanwhile, Tecumseh got the win against Western on Thursday by a conclusive 13-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.
Kennedi Fulton tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk).
On the hitting side, Maya Juozapaitis was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Kilbarger, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Saline pushed their record up to 18-3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Tecumseh, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Saline has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .512. However, it's not like Tecumseh struggles in that department as they've averaged .499. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Saline skirted past Tecumseh 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
