The Discovery Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 19th straight loss. They fell just short of Meadowcreek by a score of 48-45. If Discovery was looking for revenge after losing 63-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Meadowcreek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daron Sturdivant led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Damari Wright, who scored 13 points.
Discovery's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Meadowcreek, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Discovery will face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Meadowcreek, they will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Peachtree Ridge's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
