Chartiers-Houston moved up to 200 from 230 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL A Black Hills. The Buccaneers climbed the ranks as a result of topping California 34-7.
Clairton extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Canevin Catholic, 53-15. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Bears.
Malik Jackson put up the best numbers through the air as the Trojans lost to Chartiers-Houston. He finished with a total of seven completions for 44 yards and one touchdown. Jackson's favorite target this week was Demetri Clements, who caught one pass for 19 yards.
Tyler Reddy provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Crusaders fell to Clairton. He completed one pass for 26 yards and also ran for 83 yards. Reddy's favorite target this week was Reddy, who caught one pass for 36 yards.
Imani Christian Academy's Khari Hicks and Eric Scott have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hicks has thrown for 1420 yards this season, while Scott, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 32 catches for 587 yards. Fort Cherry's Kolten Kobrys leads the league in rushing yards with 729.
A big matchup in WPIAL A Black Hills this week will be when Brentwood takes on Canevin Catholic. The Spartans are in fifth place, while Bob Jacoby's team is in fourth place.
Tom Nola's team took down the Crusaders 53-15 last week, the largest margin of any game.
