Despite the loss, Athens Christian Preparatory Academy still got an impressive performance from Rachel Richardson, who scored 37 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richardson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kiley Normandin, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
The win (which was Christian Heritage's fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage will take on St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Christian Heritage's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while St. Mary's has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence Academy on Saturday. Providence Academy's defense has only allowed 24.7 points per game this season, so Athens Christian Preparatory Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
