It was a good run, but the School of the Woods Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Humble Christian, falling 37-9. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points School of the Woods has scored all season.
Humble Christian was led to victory by Abby Bledsoe and Kelly Paulk. Bledsoe scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Paulk dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Paulk has scored at least a third of Humble Christian's points.
School of the Woods' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Humble Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
School of the Woods will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Cornerstone Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Cornerstone Christian Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Humble Christian will take on Lighthouse HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lighthouse HomeSchool is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
