After flying high against Clyde on Saturday, Ontario came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Shelby Whippets by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Dane Kearns made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Mahon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ontario's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Shelby, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

While Ontario had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
