Basketball Recap: South Brunswick Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

South Brunswick had won two straight road games and Meryn Deutsch did her part to make it three on Friday. The Cougars took down the East Columbus Gators 55-36 for which the team can thank Deutsch, who almost dropped a triple-double with 32 points, 12 boards, and nine steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.6 rebounds per game.

Adyson Bell was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 12 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last five games she's played.

South Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for East Columbus, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Brunswick will challenge North Brunswick at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Columbus, they will be playing at home against South Columbus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
