Loachapoka made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,101 from 9,429. The improvement came about via a 38-0 victory over Wadley last week.
St. Jude Educational Institute's Tony Minefield and Kendall Richardson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 1A Region 4 in both passing and receiving yards. Minefield has thrown for 1283 yards this season, while Richardson, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 21 catches for 473 yards. Notasulga's Marlon Page leads the league in rushing yards with 907.
Page of the the Blue Devils is only 93 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wadley takes on Notasulga. Darrel Roach's team is in third place, while James Lucas' team is in first place.
The Blue Devils led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on Winterboro. Justin Lucas ran for 118 yards in the win.
