After flying high against the Schaeffer Academy Lions on Saturday, the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics came back down to earth. The matchup between Lyle/Pacelli and Kingsland wasn't particularly close, with Lyle/Pacelli falling 63-44. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lyle/Pacelli has scored all season.
Jayden Brink continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kingsland, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Sam Snitker was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Lyle/Pacelli's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Kingsland, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyle/Pacelli will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Spring Grove at 7:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Kingsland will be home for the holidays to greet Southland at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Southland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 446 points over their last five matchups.
