Having just played yesterday, the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs will jump right back in to play the Davis Sr. Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rancho Solano Prep is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since November 17, 2023 on Friday. It was close, but they capped 2024 with a 43-40 victory over Gridley. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 140th in Arizona, while the Bulldogs are ranked 957th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rancho Solano Prep has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Davis Sr. struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.4 rebounds.
