The result came thanks to Gabrianna Arrighi's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bristol-Plymouth RVT secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Taryn Geer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Bristol-Plymouth RVT's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Blue Hills RVT, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Blue Hills RVT hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .430. However, it's not like Bristol-Plymouth RVT struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
