Softball Recap: Hillsboro Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hillsboro entered their tilt with Centennial on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Spartans have won five games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hillsboro pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Centennial, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hillsboro is set to square off against their familiar foe Parkrose at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Centennial will take on rival Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
