Football Recap: Mt. Carmel Skates Past Marshall with Ease

While Mt. Carmel put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Marshall. The Golden Aces simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lions 35-0. The result was nothing new for the Golden Aces, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Mt. Carmel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Kling, who rushed for 77 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Kling a new career-high. Elliott Acree was another key back, rushing for 117 yards and one score on only 14 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mt. Carmel was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 340 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

The win got Mt. Carmel back to even at 4-4. As for Marshall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
