There's no place like home for the Lakota Tech Tatanka, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their contest at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 67-30 victory over Pine Ridge. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-16.
Lakota Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shania Ferguson, who scored 23 points along with eight assists and four steals. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabella Shangreaux, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Lakota Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Pine Ridge, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Lakota Tech will face off against Crow Creek at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Ridge, they will square off against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
