After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Coal City, Plainfield Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Yorkville Christian Mustangs by a score of 10-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Kaylynn Howe tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.
On the hitting side, Ava Sommerfeld was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Sophia Patterson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

The Mustangs are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
