Zion Rhoades and William Owens were among the main playmakers for Mishawaka Marian as the former scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals and the latter scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Paxan Sullivan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Bend Career Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bethany Christian.
Mishawaka Marian's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for South Bend Career Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Mishawaka Marian against South Bend Career Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2015 as the squad secured a 103-25 victory. With Mishawaka Marian ahead 48-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
