Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when South Shelby took on Kirksville on Tuesday. South Shelby really took it to Kirksville for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-44 win. The Cardinals pushed the score to 49-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.
South Shelby had a senior duo take command as Callie McWilliams went 10 for 19 en route to 29 points plus five rebounds and five steals and Belle Roush dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. McWilliams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Gaines, who scored six points plus five assists and four steals.
