Basketball Recap: Calvary Chapel Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Calvary Chapel Academy needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Caleb Welsh. The Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles came out on top against the Master's Academy Patriots by a score of 56-49 on Tuesday thanks in part to Welsh, who posted 36 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Defeat or not, Master's Academy got some senior leadership from Jayshawn Troutman and Fennel Eugene. Troutman went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds, while Eugene went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamey Blunt, who put up five points and five rebounds.

Calvary Chapel Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for Master's Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Calvary Chapel Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-45 loss against Merritt Island Christian on the 9th. As for Master's Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-55 defeat against Brevard Christian on the 9th.
