After having lost a blowout to West Las Vegas in their previous game, Moriarty was happy to find some success on Friday. Moriarty took their game against Santa Fe 20-12. The success represented a nice turnaround for Moriarty, who in their last game suffered a tough 14-35 loss.
Senior Xavier Romero, who rushed for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success.
The win got Moriarty back to even at 1-1. The defeat dropped Santa Fe's record to 0-2.
Moriarty are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Hope Christian next week at 5:00 PM. As for Santa Fe, they will face off against Espanola Valley.
