The Forestview Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by North Gaston on the road to the tune of 67-39. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-15.
Forestview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blair Riley, who scored 11 points. The matchup was Riley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Megan Baker was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Forestview and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for North Gaston, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forestview will take on Ashbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ashbrook will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 431st, while Forestview is ranked 211th). As for North Gaston, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kings Mountain at 6:00 p.m. Kings Mountain is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
