The Simon Tech Huskies had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 49-30 win over Burton on Wednesday. That 19 points margin sets a new team best for Simon Tech this season.
Simon Tech had a senior duo take command as Karlos Hodgson scored 25 points along with five rebounds and Daniel Garcia scored 19 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Hodgson has scored at least a third of Simon Tech's points.
Simon Tech's win ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Burton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simon Tech will take on TEACH Tech Charter at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. TEACH Tech Charter is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Burton, Burton and Animo Watts will face off at 1:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Animo Watts focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
