Volleyball Recap: King's Academy Gets the Win

King's Academy won the last time they faced University Prep Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The King's Academy Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Trey Sherman paced King's Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Sherman got some help from Jason Chi and his 24 assists. Kevin Connelly controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for University Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King's Academy will square off against Palo Alto at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for University Prep Academy, they will challenge Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
