The Hoopa Valley Warriors lost against the St. Bernard's Crusaders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hoopa Valley had to suffer through a rough 72-30 loss at the hands of St. Bernard's. Hoopa Valley has not had much luck with St. Bernard's recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Hoopa Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Romero, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Neil Moon, who scored eight points.
Hoopa Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for St. Bernard's, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoopa Valley will take on Northcoast Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Bernard's won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Upper Lake at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Upper Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1027th, while St. Bernard's is ranked 251st).
